The Normandy American Cemetery sits atop one of the bluffs captured by American soldiers at Omaha Beach. With the sounds of the ocean in the background, it is a place of peace and remembrance for American, British, and French visitors alike. Pictured here are the final resting places of Medal of Honor recipient Theodore Roosevelt, Jr., who landed on Utah Beach on D-Day, and his brother, Quentin Roosevelt, who died during the First World War and was reburied next to his brother.
